Safety warning
Safety warning. While an alcohol home detox can be a viable option for some individuals, it is important to approach the process with caution and be aware of potential safety concerns. Here are some important safety warnings to keep in mind:
-
Severe withdrawal symptoms
Alcohol withdrawal can sometimes lead to severe and potentially life-threatening symptoms, such as seizures and delirium tremens. These symptoms can be difficult to manage without medical supervision. If you have a history of severe alcohol withdrawal symptoms, it may be safer to undergo detox in a medical setting.
-
Medical conditions
Underlying medical conditions, such as heart or liver disease, can make alcohol home detox unsafe. It is important to discuss any medical conditions with a healthcare provider before attempting an alcohol home detox.
-
Medication interactions
If you are taking any medications, it is important to discuss them with a healthcare provider before attempting an alcohol home detox. Some medications can interact with alcohol or withdrawal medications, which can lead to dangerous side effects.
-
Lack of support
Attempting an alcohol home detox without a support system in place can be risky. It is important to have family or friends who are aware of your detox process and can provide emotional support and assistance as needed.
-
Relapse
The risk of relapse is always present during the detox process, especially when attempting an alcohol home detox. It is important to have a plan in place for managing cravings and triggers and to seek support if needed.
In conclusion, an alcohol home detox can be a safe and effective option for some individuals, but it is important to approach the process with caution and be aware of potential safety concerns. If you have any doubts or concerns about your ability to undergo an alcohol home detox safely, it is important to seek medical supervision or consider alternative treatment options.
Stay safe
I feel this needs to be bought to everyone’s attention. The medication used by all alcohol home detox companies, and residential rehab centres, is a mild sedative. It is important you have someone with the client during your alcohol home detox. The reason being is, if the client was to fall over while on our detox medication, the consequences could be catastrophic. That is why the client cannot be on their own. We have a duty of care to look after them.
It is also very important for the client to be properly assessed. Our assessment process take about 20 minutes and is 5 pages long. Don’t be put off as a lot of the questions are yes or no answers, and the assessment is carried out over the phone, so you do not need to write anything down.
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING
There are home detox companies out there who are happy to send you out Librium without any assessment etc. They are not interested in the clients medical condition, their psychiatric condition or the clients social state. They are only interested in the clients money. You have no idea where the medication has come from, or if it is actually the correct medication. Their prices are vastly more expensive than our prices. When a client dies, they shut their business down and just set up again in another name. Never take medicine unless subscribed but a medical professional. A medical professional will be happy to provide their Credentials.
Medication
The detox medication used has a greater effect the older the client may be. The sedative will have a much greater effect on a client in their 70’s than a client in their 40’s. We will never subscribe medication to anyone who has not:
1/ had a full telephone assessment
2/ who has not had a home visit by our detox nurses
3/ who has not got a supervisor during their complete detox time
The Supervisor and client are never alone during the clients alcohol home detox. Our detox nurses phone the supervisor and client a minimum of four times a day during medication times to make sure the medication is being administered correctly during the clients alcohol home detox.
We offer the most supported alcohol home detox available in the UK and at a very affordable price of just £1295, wherever you live in the UK. And that is all you pay. We do not cut corners. All our detox nurses are fully qualified professionals, and are happy to provide our clients and supervisors with all their credentials.
