Where do we start?
If you would like an alcohol home detox, all you need to do is give us a call. Tel; 07811 606 606. We will sort everything else out with our nurses. After calling us the first thing we will need to do is an assessment on the client. This is done over the Phone. This is to make sure the client is safe to detox. What I mean by that is, they are not hearing voices, they are not suicidal etc. Providing the client is safe to do an alcohol home detox.
We will then have a video consolation with the client, and who ever will be looking after the client. This can be a friend, a family member, partner etc. Once that is all done. We will then transfer the clients medication from our medical centre to the clients local chemist. Here it can be collected by whoever is looking after the client. Then the detox can begin. And yes, it can begin on the same day. The rest of the details in full are on this website.

Alcohol Home Detox in Leicestershire: A Guide to Safe and Effective Detoxification at Home
Alcohol addiction can be a serious and life-threatening problem. Those who are struggling with alcohol addiction in Leicestershire may find it difficult to quit drinking on their own. However, with the right support, it is possible to overcome alcohol addiction and reclaim one’s life.
One option for those who want to quit drinking is a home detox program. A home detox allows individuals to detox from alcohol in the comfort and privacy of their own home, while receiving medical supervision and support. Here is a guide to safe and effective alcohol home detox in Leicestershire.
What is alcohol home detox?
Alcohol home detox is a program designed to help individuals safely detox from alcohol at home. The program typically involves a combination of medication, counselling, and support. The goal of alcohol home detox is to manage withdrawal symptoms and help individuals overcome their physical addiction to alcohol.
Why choose alcohol home detox?
There are several benefits to choosing an alcohol home detox program:
-
Comfort and privacy: Detoxing at home allows individuals to detox in the comfort and privacy of their own home, rather than in a hospital or treatment facility.
-
Access to support: Although individuals are detoxing at home, they will still have access to medical supervision and support from trained professionals.
-
Flexibility: A home detox program can be tailored to an individual’s unique needs, allowing for greater flexibility in treatment.
-
Cost-effective: Home detox programs are typically more cost-effective than inpatient treatment programs.
How does alcohol home detox work?
The first step in an alcohol home detox program is an assessment with a healthcare professional. The healthcare professional will evaluate the individual’s medical history, alcohol use, and overall health to determine if a home detox program is appropriate.
Once an individual is approved for a home detox program, they will be prescribed medication to help manage withdrawal symptoms. The medication may include benzodiazepines, which can help reduce anxiety and prevent seizures, and/or naltrexone, which can help reduce alcohol cravings.
During the detox process, individuals will receive regular check-ins with their healthcare provider to monitor their progress and ensure their safety. Additionally, individuals may receive counselling or therapy to address any underlying psychological or emotional issues related to their alcohol addiction.
Is alcohol home detox safe?
Alcohol home detox can be a safe and effective way to detox from alcohol if done under the guidance of a healthcare professional. However, it is important to note that not all individuals are suitable for a home detox program. Those with severe alcohol addiction, co-occurring mental health disorders, or underlying medical conditions may require more intensive treatment in a hospital or treatment facility.
Additionally, alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous if not properly managed. Common withdrawal symptoms include tremors, seizures, hallucinations, and delirium tremens. In a home detox program, healthcare professionals will monitor these symptoms and provide medication to manage them.
Alcohol home detox can be a safe and effective way for individuals in Leicestershire to overcome their addiction to alcohol. With the right support and medical supervision, individuals can detox from alcohol in the comfort and privacy of their own home. If you or a loved one is struggling with alcohol addiction, consider speaking with a healthcare professional about the benefits of an alcohol home detox program.
